Thought starters

Your story

Every love story has its own unique twists and turns. How did you meet, fall in love, and decide to celebrate your special day? Are there any milestones or fun anecdotes you can share as ‘fun facts’ on your menus or personal

Shared interests

What hobbies, interests, or passions do you both share? Incorporate elements related to these into your stationery, whether it's books, travel, music, or sports. A great way to do this is with themed table names instead of table numbers.

Favourite quotes

Are there any quotes or sayings that hold special meaning for you as a couple? These can be beautifully incorporated into your invitations or day stationery.

Keepsake place cards.

(See my Instagram post for examples on this here.)

Table names

(Instead of table numbers)

Option 1: Turn your place cards into a keepsake name definition card that captures the essence of your relationship with that guest.

Option 2: Add a short and sweet, but custom message for each guest, like “Nice dress, Sophie”, “Enjoy the hangover, Jack” or “Bon appetit, Nonna”

Option 3: Add a generic welcome message to set the tone for your day like “Welcome to the party, Geoff”. You can even sprinkle in some custom ones for family and close friends like “Mum, we couldn’t have done this without you”

Fun facts

Are there any special moments or elements from your journey that you'd like to include in your stationery? Table names instead of table numbers is a great way to incorporate this.

(I’ve done types of pasta for a couple that owned a pasta shop, and places of significance for a couple that have visited a lot of places around Australia)

Sprinkle some fun facts about you throughout your day stationery to get your guests talking. Where did you meet? How did you get engaged? They can be printed on the bottom/back of your menus or on napkins.

Sip & solve

For a fun, interactive activity for your guests that also shares your story, a personalised crossword can be created and printed on acrylic (allowing your guests to wipe out answers if they’ve gotten them wrong).

Photo table numbers

Have you got lots of photos of the two of you from when you were little? Put a photo of one of you at the age of the table number for a super cute way to share where you came from.
